Team Casa
It takes a dedicated team to provide quality care to the Casa Canines!
Here is our Team:
Anastasia-
Owner
 |
Anastasia
has loved animals since childhood. At the age of 10, she sadly lost
her first dog, Amber, due to the divorce of her parents. She never
forgot that dog and has now dedicated her life to the care and rescue
of companion animals. She graduated from Niagara University with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and worked as a Registered
Nurse in New York State for three years. She left the profession
at age 25 and began her path toward owning her own business. At
that time, she also became a vegan, and started dreaming about owning
a large piece of land where she could have many dogs running free.
She relocated to Washington in 1997 and held several temporary jobs.
She worked for a start up company in Bellevue and left when the
company was bought out, using her stock options to start her first
business, Anastasia's Companion Animal Home Care, a professional
pet sitting service in Federal Way. In 2002, Anastasia began planning
what is now Casa Canine, and in July 2003, her dream had come true!
She owns and operates a business that allows her to care for dogs
that can enjoy a wonderful setting while offering their human guardians
peace of mind. |
John-
Manager
 |
John
is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo, with
a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and Production Management.
He worked at a video production house filming corporate commercials
and other projects in Rochester, NY for three years. He relocated
to Washington and became the Civic Theatre Coordinator of Knutzen
Family Theatre for the City of Federal Way in 1998. John worked
there for seven years and then was able to leave his job and work
at Casa Canine full time in March 2005. John's love of animals prompted
him to become a vegan at the age of 23. He is an animal advocate
and enjoys caring for the doggies at Casa Canine. He previously
supported and worked with Anastasia in both her pet sitting business
and also her animal rescue efforts. |
Angela-
Facility Assistant
 |
Angela's
love for animals led her to study marine biology, and she graduated
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Western Washington
University. She has worked at Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Point Defiance
Zoo and Aquarium, and currently at the Seattle Aquarium. Angela
now enjoys working part-time at the Casa helping to care for the
dogs and perform various business operations. In spring of 2007,
she adopted "Pudge," a sweet shepherd mix that Anastasia
was fostering, adding to her furry family of Winston the lab and
Paco the kitty. |
Sarah-
Facility Maintenance Assistant
 |
A
recent graduate of Life Christian Academy, Sarah is pursuing studies
in either Landscape Architecture or Equestrian Sciences. She loves
gardening and maintenance activities and is an important part of
caring for the Casa Canine building and grounds. She enjoys working
alongside the doggies and improves our client and guest experience
at the Casa. |
