Checklist:
TOUR: We require
a visit to Casa Canine with you and your dog prior to his or her first
stay. Call or e-mail Casa
Canine to set up a tour. Tour hours
are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays by appointment only. Other days of the week
usually can be arranged. No tours on holiday weekends. This
will give you and your canine the opportunity to see our facility
and meet us. Your dog will be more familiar and comfortable when he
or she arrives for their stay. Also, we determine if this style of
boarding is the best fit for your dog. We offer
a FREE half day of DAYCARE as a trial run for your doggie and a chance
for them to become familiar with the Casa...ask us more about this
during your tour! Your dog MUST have fulfilled our requirements of
vaccination (we also accept titer test results or holistic protocols)
and a fecal exam that was negative in the last six months (or effective
treatment fully completed if exam was positive) in order to enter
our facility. Also, they MUST be free of external parasites (fleas,
ear mites, etc.) and any other contagious conditions (kennel cough,
papilloma, etc.) in order to enter our facility.
For safety reasons, no children under 12, no choke/training collars,
and no treats in pockets are permitted during the tour. Expect
to get muddy or wet, so don't wear your "Sunday best!" Please
wear appropriate, safe footwear as you will be walking into our play
yard and field.
RESERVATION:
Check availability and book your dates. We recommend two week notice,
and a two month notice for the busy holidays: New
Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving
Day, and Christmas Day.
Existing clients should make
reservations no later than 6 p.m. the previous day, and new clients
should make reservations at least one full week prior to arrival date
in order to fulfill tour and paperwork requirements.
PAPERWORK:
We require a fecal exam negative for parasites within the last
six months. If you are a new client
and have a dog less than 1 year of age, we require a fecal exam negative
for parasites within the last month. If it has been more than
these timeframes, please take a stool sample to your vet to have the
exam done well in advance of your dog's stay. If
your dog tests positive for parasites, treatment and retesting must
be fully completed prior to their stay. Also, bring a copy of vaccination
records for our files (we accept titer test results or holistic protocols).
Then, download the two forms listed below to fill out and bring with
you when you check in your canine, or you can ask us for forms during
your tour.
